- Israel continues to occupy Gaza and Lebanese’s boarders become increasingly fluid.
- Trump presidency results in North Korean disengagement in Ukraine
Energy and Environmental Sustainability
- Tilt towards renewable deployment accelerates as another expensive winter passes within the UK. Re-imaging of the UK energy market with time limited support for domestic gas indicated.
- No meaningful progress to net zero will be made due to ongoing conflicts but extreme weather begins to challenge this stallement due to imapct on insurance industry.
Education and Technology
- AI systems devalue education provoking confusion within citizenry and stoking a growing anti technology movement.
- Employment disruption will begin through the middle classes provoked by finical down turn.
- Society will begin to grapple with the near future potential of flight to space with a date set for humanity on Mars.
UK Economy and Society
- UK productivity problem remains and economic downturn triggered by increased hollowing out of middle classes.
- UK intrest rates will fall gradually before evelating to support sterling late summer.
- Labour government remains in power througout the year.
- The formation of a post AGI economy begins with a universal services approach to electricity, transport and water.
